Get that electric feeling
We're not just taking you from A to B, we are electrifying the driving experience, giving you the same thrills and self-expression you expect in a Ford vehicle.
Benefits of going electric
- Zero driving tailpipe emissions
Driving with total peace of mind that your BEV isn’t contributing to emissions in the air while driving2.
- Reduced maintenance
Electric vehicles have fewer moving parts than an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicle2. That generally means less maintenance and lower service costs.
- Instant thrill
The experience of driving an EV is like no other, with instant torque and powerful acceleration.
- Charge how you want
No more trips to the pump in your BEV2, you can recharge your vehicle at home or at public charging stations.
- Tax incentives
As Local and Federal Government plan for an electric future, tax and financial subsidies may be available to help you switch.
Ford’s electrified powertrains
We are focused on two different approaches to electric powertrains. It's important to understand the differences when considering the switch to electric cars.
Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV)
This powertrain combines a conventional combustion engine with a battery powered electric motor that is charged using an external charging point or, while you are driving, through regenerative braking.
Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)
An all-electric vehicle that has no combustion engine, instead running 100% on a battery-powered electric motor.
Charging your vehicle
There are numerous ways to charge your EV, both at
home and in public. Let us break it down for you, it’s
easier than you may think.
Range & Batteries
Much like how different sized combustion engines are used for different adventures, our batteries are designed for different levels of performance, capability and range.
Ownership
Owning an electric vehicle comes with its perks. You can enjoy
lower running costs, reduced maintenance, and where
applicable, state and federal tax incentives may exist.
